Three steps to race day

Check your registration email
After registration you will receive a confirmation email. Make sure you have your race number saved as it will be used to process your registration at the entry point on race day.

Collect your chip & race number
Make sure you collect your chip and race number before starting. Your chip records your official time from the moment the race begins.

Collect your coin at 2.5km
Make sure you get your coin at the halfway point 2.5km to help you finish with a win. It's your proof of progress and your motivation to push all the way through.
04
Cross the finish line and collect your track record
Once you cross the finish line your chip will capture your official race time. Head to the original registration location to verify your result in person also you will subsequently receive your digital personal record via our website and social media platforms.

Your first step is everything take it with intention.
KM 1 is uphill all the way. Start slow, find your rhythm, and let the road come to you. Every great runner started exactly where you are right now.
The Liben Lark is one of Ethiopia's rarest indigenous birds critically endangered and found almost nowhere else on earth. Like this bird, your presence here is rare. Treasure it.
Falcon
KM 2
↓ Downhill · Run smart
Falcon
The hill drops now run with focus, not just speed.
KM 2 is your fastest stretch 40m of descent opens up. Stay controlled and run with purpose. The race programme is in full swing you're in it now.
The Falcon is renowned for extraordinary focus it locks onto its target and never wavers. Speed without focus is just falling.
Ostrich
KM 3
→ Flat · Halfway · Breathe
Ostrich
Halfway. The flat road is your gift use it wisely.
KM 3 is where you breathe. Settle into your stride and reset. Collect your halfway coin at 2.5km proof of progress and motivation to finish strong.

Eagle
KM 4
⚡ Steep hills · Dig deep
Eagle
Almost there. This is where races are won in the mind.
KM 4 is the steepest section. Your legs will protest. Your lungs will negotiate. Ignore them both. Dig into what's left and refuse to slow down.
The Eagle is built for explosive power and relentless pursuit. It soars higher than any other bird and never abandons the chase. Neither do you.
Vulture
KM 5
↓ Downhill · Clean finish
Vulture
The road clears. Swoop home and collect what's yours.
KM 5 is mostly downhill. Empty the tank and cross the finish line. Your race time report will be available after the race check your result and share it with pride.
The Vulture clears the path and restores order. In this final kilometer it sweeps the road ahead a smooth open runway to the finish.
Track Your Run

Every runner receives a race number and a timing chip. Cross the finish line and your official time is captured automatically.

Race number & chip timing
Collect your bib and chip at arrival before the race starts. The chip attaches to your shoe lace and records your exact finish time. Your track time report will be available after the race no guessing, just your real result.
